Erris is a small barony in northwestern Mayo, much of which is mountainous blanket bog. Béal an Mhuirthead is the main town in the area and the Mullet Peninsula is an Irish-speaking Gaeltacht area bound by wild Atlantic beauty on both sides. Tionól Gaeltachta Chonradh na Gaeilge 2014 is heading on holidays to the beautiful beaches and ancient backroads of Erris from 3 - 6 July this year. The likes of Blacksod Bay and Elly Bay are renowned for their local beauty, and language learners and fluent Irish speakers alike are welcome to relax by the bay with us on this special Gaeltacht holiday.
Conradh na Gaeilge is offering fantastic value for money on this year's trip, whereby there are different holiday packages available from either Thursday - Sunday or from Friday - Sunday (see price details below). Bed, breakfast and evening meals are all included in the packages, as well as social events and entertainment to ensure everyone enjoys the natural splendour of the area in completely Irish-speaking company.
