Conradh na Gaeilge is organising three intensive Irish language courses for the summer in response to the great interest currently being taken in the language. Starting on 10 June 2008, the courses are directed at everyone looking to improve their cúpla focal as well as complete newcomers looking to follow Des Bishop's good example and learn Irish from scratch.
Each course will run for three weeks and Conradh na Gaeilge has organised one per month to satisfy the large demand this year. The dates for each course are as follows:
- 10 - 26 June 2008
- 08 - 24 July 2008
- 05 - 21 August 2008
Three-hour classes will be held two nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) between 7.00 and 10.00pm.
Various levels will accommodate every Gaeilgeoir in the city, regardless of their current language fluency, with classes focused on people interested in Irish but without any previous knowledge of the language, as well as those with a little Irish looking to refresh their memories.
There will also be classes available for good Irish speakers who want to improve their pronunciation, grammar, common phrases and vocabulary in addition to classes for people who simply need to build up their confidence to speak it.
There will be a total of four levels to choose from for each course:
- Complete Beginners
Conradh na Gaeilge courses are compatible with Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge syllabi.
There is a discounted price of €150 offered to former pupils, students and OAPs among others.
Additional Irish classes are available through Conradh na Gaeilge in Galway and other places across the country. Get in touch with us for more information or check out the courses' section of our site at http://cnag.ie/index.php?page=courses&lang=en.
