The teaching staff at Conradh na Gaeilge use TEG's (Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge) framework to structure their courses. Each teacher has the freedom to cover their own material also. This course will help those looking to sit the official TEG exams, however it is entirely up to the individual learner to prepare suitably for those exams. A wide range of topics will be covered in the classes: conversational Irish, Irish grammatical structures, listening exercises, reading and more.

TEG is a system of examination focussed on adult learners of Irish. It is part of the European Common Framework of Languages (European Council, 2001). 4 skills are examined: Spoken Irish, Listening, Reading and Written Irish. The exams are currently available in 5 levels, Foundation Level (A1) to Higher Level (C1). More information here: www.teg.ie
