The language and cultural awareness scheme Ár dTeanga Chomhroinnte, or Our Shared Language, is coordinated by Conradh na Gaeilge and explores the origin, evolution, and development of the Irish language. The scheme is funded and supported by the Executive Office. It was in high demand in schools in the north again this year.
The Gaelchárta is a small plastic card for special discounts for teenagers. This year’s Gaelchárta has loads of discounts and can be used in shops and companies throughout the country.
Gaelbhratach is a reward-based scheme which officially recognises schools which are active in the promotion of Irish throughout the school. Gael-Linn is in charge of the Gaelbhratach in the schools in partnership with Conradh na Gaeilge at second level.
The Seó Bóthair Roadshow has grown in recent years to become an integral part of the school calendar. We will be on the road every day promoting the Irish language in schools throughout the country.
