The festival will be held from March 1-17 in Ireland and around the world.
Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia 2025 was officially launched on Saturday in Loch Garman, as part of Conradh na Gaeilge’s Ard-Fheis. The lively celebration brought the local community together for a fun-filled day to kick off this year’s Irish language festival.
The event featured music from the well-known band Seo Linn and local traditional group Stranach, with lively dancing, great craic and spirited céillís adding to the festivities. Giggles the Clown was also on hand to entertain and create a joyful atmosphere for people of all ages.
Speaking at the event, Orlaith Nic Ghearailt, Manager of Seachtain na Gaeilge, said:
"We are delighted to launch Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia here in Loch Gorman with the local community. We received a warm welcome as we marked the start of this year’s festival. We hope it will inspire people near and far to take part in events happening throughout the festival from March 1st to 17th."
Conchubhair Mac Lochlainn, Chairperson of Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia, also spoke at the launch:

Thanks to Mayor Catherine Walsh, the County Council, the local branch of Conradh na Gaeilge, and the very talented musicians, we had a fantastic launch.
