Conradh na Gaeilge looks forward to the wide range of Irish language events as part of this year's Féile an Phobail
Conchúr Ó Muadaigh from Conradh na Gaeilge said;
““We are delighted to be working alongside Féile an Phobail, Ireland’s biggest community arts festival this year. Féile an Phobail offers a wide range of events for everyone in the community, young and old. It’s undoubtedly one of the most important dates in the calendar for the Irish language community, providing new spaces for young and old to explore and engage with the language through a wide variety of events. From concerts, to traditional music sessions and storytelling, intensive Irish language courses, historical tours, discussions, carnival parades and workshops, Féile has it all. We wish Féile an Phobail and all community partners involved every success."
Kevin Gamble, Director of Féile an Phobail said;
“Féile is delighted to be working in partnership with Conradh na Gaeilge to ensure that the Irish Language is at the forefront of our planning and programming, and importantly that the language is visible and heard throughout the festival. Is comhpháirtíocht tábhachtach í seo agus muid ag iarraidh an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn mar chuid den Fhéile. We have a wide variety of opportunities and activities in this year’s programme for Irish speakers of all abilities, and for those wishing to engage in and learn the language for the very first time. We look forward to working with the team at Conradh na Gaeilge agus ag fáiltiú daoine áitiúla agus cuairteoirí as gach cearn den tír agus níos faide i gcéin chuig Féile an Phobail i mbliana.”
