Conradh na Gaeilge presented awards to branches of the organisation for all over the country at Ard Fheis Chonradh na Gaeilge last week. These awards were to give recognition to branches who had made significant progress or achievments during the year. Among the winners were community groups, a radio station, and university socieities who have done excellent and important work in promoting the Irish language.

The most important award of the evening Gradam Chonradh na Gaeilge, was awarded to Breandán Mac Gearailt, a member of Coiste Dúiche Chiarraí, for his contribution to Conradh na Gaeilge, and work to promote the Irish language for many years.
