Intensive Day Course: Irish Interview for Professional Masters in Education (Primary / Hibernia)

Prospective applicants to the Professional Master in Education (Primary Teaching) with Hibernia must complete a 30 minute interview. As part of this interview, an interview in Irish must be completed which lasts between 10 - 12 minutes. Fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and accuracy is assessed during this interview. Applicants are asked about themselves, general questions on background etc. and then on teaching, modes of teaching and the theory of teaching.

To help with the preparations applicants must complete Conradh na Gaeilge has put together a day course. It is a 1-day session that'll be on Saturday, 18th January 2020. It shall happen between 9:30am and 4:30pm and lunch will be included in the price. There shall be two sessions, one during the morning and one in the afternoon during which grammar, general questions, common questions, vocabulary for teaching and much more will be discussed. The class will be held through Irish only and shall consist of singular work, group work and pair work along with listening exercises and much more. Each applicant shall have the chance to ask questions of the facilitator and every applicant will have the opportunity to take part in a mock oral which will consist of an oral and personalised feedback. The mock interviews shall happen between 13:45 and the end of the day, each applicant will go in one-by-one and the mock interview shall last about 10 minutes for each person.
